In April of 2002, our property was designated a Buncombe County Treasured Tree Preserve by Quality Forward [now Asheville GreenWorks]. Our Dogwoods received special recognition. This organization honors “trees of unique size, rarity, and special significance”.
In June of 2011, we were asked by Asheville GreenWorks to be part of the Kenilworth Garden Tour.
In March of 2012, there was further recognition of our Dogwoods during a revitalization of the Treasured Tree Program by Asheville GreenWorks, with a dinner at the Crown Plaza Resort during Asheville’s Arbor Day Celebration.
